I completed a MSc in Mathematics with Life Sciences at the VU University Amsterdam and a MSc in Bioinformatics from Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg. The title of my PhD thesis, which I defended in Amsterdam in November 2010, is "Computational Statistics for the Identification of Gene Regulatory Networks". Since 1 december 2011 I work as a postdoc in Computional Biology at the Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
